| New generation of tried-and-tested Acvatix valves  The Siemens Building Technologies Division is launching a new generation of valves in the Acvatix family on the market. The product range has been completely reworked and optimized in terms of both its flow design and construction. With the new models, Siemens offers a universal range of valves for all applications in central heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems (HVAC). The Acvatix family has become well established on the market in recent decades and is known for its precise and reliable regulation performance in HVAC systems. With the new Acvatix generation, a completely reworked range of valves is now available on the market, one that is based on decades of experience. The comprehensive valve portfolio covers all applications in central HVAC systems and provides the right solution for a wide range of requirements. In developing the new valve generation, Siemens' engineers paid special attention to optimizing the flow design. Not only were they able to reduce the energy-destroying "dead zones" but also what are known as "deflection zones," which produce noise that then spreads throughout the pipe network. As a result of these developments, the new valves deliver greater energy efficiency and less working noise. At the same time, the optimized valves achieve up to 30 percent higher flow coefficients (kvs) with the same nominal width (DN). Thanks to especially finely graduated kvs values within the Acvatix product range, a valve that is ideally suited to the necessary calculated value is available in most cases. The new Acvatix valves also have an optimized construction which requires less material for the valve body. This reduces the weight by an average of twelve percent and helps simplify handling during installation. With its newly developed valves, Siemens has also streamlined the product range by combining several variants into universal valves. A new addition, for example, is the silicone-free flanged valve for temperature ranges up to 220°, which replaces three previous product variants. Planners and installers can thus make easier and more reliable selections from the valve portfolio.
