Strabag and Visser & Smit Hanab enter cooperation agreement

Strabag Energietechnik GmbH and Visser & Smit Hanab, a German engineering company providing state of art grate incineration and waste-heat steam boiler technology for waste-to-energy projects, signed a co-operation agreement on 1 July 2011.

With its cutting edge technique for fluidized bed incineration, flue gas cleaning systems and waste-to-energy applications, Strabag Energietechnik is active in the power engineering market since 2002 and has an excellent market position in Central Europe, CIS countries and Asia. With about 70 employees, Strabag Energietechnik generated an output volume of € 39 million in 2010. The co-operation agreement will strengthen both parties market position and create synergies in market development. The agreement will optimise the development of projects related to industry, waste-to-energy and general heat and power productions projects, where Visser & Smit Hanab has a strong market position in the Netherlands, Germany and other Central European countries.
