| Additional solar plant on the roof area The Schletter GmbH located in Kirchdorf/Haag in Upper Bavaria wants to achieve the highest possible level of self-sufficiency on the basis of solar power. Thus, an additional solar plant on the roof area of the new logistics center has put into operation to generate clean energy. On the roof of the new logistics center that recently has been inaugurated within the framework of this year´s Schletter Biergartenfest that took place on the occasion of the Intersolar, the new solar plant has been put into operation. As the bigger part of our company parking lot already has been equipped with Schletter Park@Sol solar carports, the installation of a new solar plant on the roof of our 20,000 m˛ logistics center was the next logical step. Thus, the total power of the already existing Schletter solar plants was doubled and all plants combined now generate a total power of about 4 MWp. The new Schletter system FixZ-15 was the optimum choice for the mounting of the modules on this roof. Being an innovative company, Schletter is always open-minded about new possibilities to generate clean energy and does not only contribute to the energy turnaround with its products, but also in the daily routine of the company. "Sustainable management and an ecologically aware use of resources are essential values of our company philosophy. Thus, we put special focus on an overall energy concept right from the start when we set up our new company building in 2008. Besides the reasonable utilization of as much of the roof area as possible for the generation of solar power, this energy concept also includes a smart energy management system in our company buildings. Moreover, we enforce further developments in the sector of electric mobility. The charging pillars on our company parking lot that can be used for free by our customers and staff members prove that", says Hans Urban, who is the assistant managing director of the Schletter GmbH. write your comments about the article :: © 2011 Construction News :: home page |
