Acrex India 2012 – air conditioning and refrigeration in Bangalore

Acrex India, the international trade fair for refrigeration and air conditioning, opens again in the exhibition halls in Bangalore from 23–25 February 2012. The 13th Acrex India is geared to a greener future and is thus in line with the latest trend in the Indian building industry. The exhibition in the ecologically certified Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) offers internationally renowned companies, small and medium enterprises and start-ups from the refrigeration, heating, air conditioning and building services segments an ideal platform for gaining a foothold in the rapidly growing Indian market. NürnbergMesse again takes over worldwide marketing communication for South Asia's biggest sector forum for the refrigeration and air conditioning industry. It is supported by the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce IGCC. BIES (Bangalore International Exhibition Services) is responsible for the organization of the event on the ground.

NürnbergMesse took over the marketing communication and organization of Acrex India in 2011. The exhibition focused on green technologies for the first time and was a complete success. More than 40,000 highly qualified visitors from the Indo-Asian region ensured satisfaction and many firm orders among the some 400 international exhibitors. The product display was enhanced by an extensive programme of workshops and lectures. The Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE), the organizer of Acrex India, expects more than 40,000 trade visitors and 400 exhibitors from all over the world at next year's event.

India has shown the second largest economic growth in the world for some years now. Especially the building industry contributes to this with a growth rate of over 20 per cent. The Indian building sector actually has enormous potential. According to a study by the Technical Group on Estimation of Housing Shortage, there is a current shortage of over 26million homes in India. The entire infrastructure – roads, ports, airports and power stations – is run-down. The Indian and the international industry too are investing heavily. Sustainable solutions play a major role in many projects. Meike Sauer, Project Manager of ACREX India at NürnbergMesse, explains: "New developments in sustainable building management are attracting particularly keen interest in India. India is poor in resources but heavily populated. It therefore makes sense for ACREX India 2012 to focus again on environment-friendly and energy-saving alternatives for the Indian building industry."

Acrex India is intended for a variety of industries. Modern solutions for sustainable air conditioning and cooling technologies are required in all sectors nowadays – including the bank and financial sector, administration, gastronomy, transport, the automotive industry, schools and hospitals, and wellness and health clubs. The products at ACREX India range from air conditioning systems, refrigeration equipment, temperature control and ventilation to building technologies and fire protection. Accompanying workshops and panels on new technologies stimulate the exchange of views between visitors and ensure that comprehensive information is provided about new refrigeration and air conditioning technologies. As in 2011, the 13th ACREX India again includes the Fire & Security Pavilion, where companies can present innovations from the fire protection and security segments. Exhibitors also have the opportunity to make contacts and hold in-depth talks at the official evening event during Acrex. Exhibitors can also enter for the Acrex Award of Excellence again in 2012.
