Ferrovial Servicios to manage waste at Iberia's facilities

Iberia has awarded Ferrovial Servicios a contract to manage waste at all of its maintenance centers in Spain. These services will be provided by Cespa, Ferrovial's municipal and environmental services subsidiary. To date, the contract between Iberia and Ferrovial Servicios included the former's facilities in Madrid and the new hangar in Barcelona; the contract has now been extended to include all of Iberia's maintenance centers in Spain.

Cespa will manage Iberia Maintenance centers in Madrid, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Ibiza, Alicante, Málaga, Sevilla, Jerez, Granada, Santiago, La Coruña, Vigo, Asturias, Bilbao, San Sebastián, Vitoria, Pamplona, Gran Canaria, Tenerife North and Tenerife South.

At Iberia's maintenance facilities in Madrid, where the company has 7 hangars and workshops, Cespa will manage municipal and hazardous waste generated at the offices, workshops and hangars and monitor pollution of soil and groundwater. The company will also install a recycling center to encourage waste separation at source and subsequent reuse and recycling. This contract with Iberia also includes the operation and maintenance of three of the airline's wastewater treatment plants in La Muñoza, to be managed by Cadagua, a Ferrovial Agroman subsidiary.
