MosBuild expands its audience and geography

MosBuild is Russia's largest platform for showcasing the best the building and interiors industry has to offer. The event took place on 5–8 April 2011, occupying two of Moscow's largest exhibition venues, Crocus Expo and Expocentre.

This year, MosBuild exceeded all pre-show forecasts, featuring 18% more exhibitors compared to last year's event. 2,472 companies from 49 countries demonstrated their latest products, technologies and services to a record of 104,648 unique trade visitors, who attended the show over a period of four days.

The increasing interest from global countries and associations was confirmed by the participation of 16 national groups, including Belgium, Canada, China, Croatia, Denmark, Germany, Finland, Taiwan, Lithuania, Serbia, Italy and many others.

MosBuild was officially opened by HRH Prince Philippe of Belgium, who was in the country as part of his Belgian trade mission to Russia.

Furthermore, for the first time in 2011, e3Forum was held alongside MosBuild. The event was dedicated to issues related to ecology, energy conservation and efficiency in building and construction. The programme included a conference entitled "Technology Design and Construction of Energy Efficient Buildings, Passive House" and SCP low-rise housing.

The 'eco' theme was not only reflected in the business programme. MosBuild 2011 marked the launch of a new brand – e3. The brand represents a new ideology of building, combining three concepts: ecology, energy and efficiency. Starting in 2011, stands displaying products that comply with the principles of e3 are given the 'e3Build' logo, distinguishing them from their competitors.

The organisers of ITE have big plans for their flagship event. MosBuild 2012 will be held in just one venue in the centre of town, Expocentre, but it will be spread over a two-week period. Week one will take place from 2nd to 5th April and week two from 10th to 13th April 2012.
