Savills advises aik in purchase of the Hague office building

aik (APO Immobilien-Kapitalanlagegesellschaft mbh) has bought the 4,193 sq m (45,133 sq ft) Gebouw Hofstaete office building at 15-25 Parkstraat, The Hague, advised by international real estate advisor Savills. The German property investment company acquired the Netherlands asset on behalf of one of its real estate open-ended funds from ING Dutch Office Funds, an unlisted real estate fund managed by ING Real Estate Investment Management Netherlands (ING REIM NL) for approximately €12m.

The main tenant Rijksgebouwendienst, the Dutch government buildings agency, signed a five-year lease for approximately 1,770 sq m (19,052 sq ft) in March this year and other tenants include KNCV and Vitae Nederland BV. Approximately 700 sq m (7,534 sq ft) is currently still available to let.

Gebouw Hofstaete has been recently refurbished and is located in The Hague's city centre close its Central Station and the government premises at Het Binnenhof, the political heart of the city.
