| Kone acquires elevator company in the USA Finnish lift maker Kone has acquired Long Elevator & Machine Co., Inc., an independent elevator company with operations in St. Louis, Missouri; Gary, Indiana; Peoria, Illinois; Springfield, Illinois and Chicago, Illinois. Long Elevator and Kone will be combining their operations under the Kone name during the coming months. Long Elevator & Machine Company, established in 1929, is privately owned and is focused on elevator maintenance, repairs and modernization.
