Fire protection doors

More attractive and easier to install, new approvals for installation in lightweight building systems: The German door specialist Teckentrup presented further developments to their fire protection doors at BAU 2011. The range (T30 / T60 / T90) is extremely variable with exceptionally large fire barriers or multi-purpose doors, which provide both fire protection and burglary protection – up to class WK 4. The various glazing elements also ensure aesthetically pleasing doors. The manufacturer tests the doors to European standard EN 1634-1, thus allowing their application throughout Europe.

Fire protection in almost any size - from a single-leaf hatch to a large, double-leaf fire-resistant door (3.25 x 3.50 m) – also available as smoke-proof versions or with further features: The Teckentrup product portfolio offers the ideal element for almost every task.

The extended approvals ensure new fields of application for the doors. They include installation in F30 installation walls and in wooden constructions with concealed wooden supports F 60 (T30 FSA "Teckentrup 42"). This helps to create cost-effective fire compartments in commercial buildings. The double-leaf door T90-2-FSA "Teckentrup SV" is now also approved as a fire-resistant door for lightweight building systems up to a size of 3 x 3 metres.

Numerous pre-fabricated parts facilitate installation. The TSM (dry fast installation) version of the T30-FSA door "Teckentrup 62" is particularly installation friendly. It is supplied with special folding anchors and a corner frame backfilled with mineral wool ex-works. The time-intensive process of applying mortar is no longer necessary and the frame remains clean. Subsequent tasks (e.g. application of a final coat) can be carried out immediately.

Another option is the new 3D hinges: These can be used to divide the door leaf into three levels to simply compensate for small tolerances.

Constructions with an upper casing are recommended when particularly high doors are required as the fire protection barrier. The T-30 door "Teckentrup OS" is approved up to a height of 4.60 metres.
