Sunweb modules achieve 250 Wp with an efficiency of 16%

Following success in IEC tests Solland Solar is now delivering the first batch of Metal Wrap Through (MWT) modules to reference projects in Great Britain and the Netherlands. Commercial sales are set to start in Q4 2011. Solland Solar has set new standards regarding performance and design with the launch of its Sunweb MWT Technology. The multi-crystalline Sunweb modules achieve 250 Wp with an efficiency of 16%. Solland Solar's innovative high performance modules based on Sunweb MWT successfully undergo testing for IEC certification. Initial success in sales has already been reported by the producer.

The first projects in Great Britain as well as the domestic Dutch market have already been fitted out with Sunweb Modules. As Intersolar Europe approaches, Solland Solar has reported that further projects are in the pipeline for the target markets of Italy, France, Belgium and Germany. The German company Schott Solar AG also contributed to the development of the Sunweb modules.

Solland Solar uses the most innovative MWT high efficiency cells which unite all the advantages that back contact cells have to offer in Sunweb modules. In addition to a significant increase in performance, the Sunweb product range also stands out for its particularly appealing design. Each module made up of 60 cells realizes approximately six percent more performance on four percent less surface. In comparison to other modules, Sunweb Modules facilitate a ten percent increase in energy density per square meter. Thus, the premium product segment now enjoys new standards in performance and efficiency courtesy of Solland Solar.
