| BAM Ritchies success at the 2011 GE Awards BAM Ritchies entries for the 2011 Ground Engineering Awards have been recognised by the prestigious panel of judges at the awards event in central London on 11th May 2011. The awards, hosted by stand up comedian, Russell Kane, were presented at the prestigious five star Grosvenor House Hotel, on London's Park Lane. Attended by over 250 clients and leaders in consultancy and contracting in the geotechnical engineering industry, these awards brought together the key players in the market and the ones to watch. - 'Beyond Zero' was the outright winner of the Health and Safety Award. BAM Ritchies' Operations Director Ian Dalgleish and Senior Safety Advisor Roy Jackson were clearly delighted to collect the award. The judges said it was 'A very worthwhile example of driving H&S best practice. Developing a real change in H&S culture in an often isolated sector of the Construction Industry.' - A83 Rest and be Thankful - Landslide and Debris Flow Protection for Transport Scotland, where BAM Ritchies worked closely with the North West management and maintenance Operating Company - Scotland Transerv, was Commended in the Geotechnical / Geoenvironmental UK Project up to £1million Award.
