| Ramboll opens office in the USA Danish consultancy firm Ramboll opened an office in the New York metropolitan area, focusing on waste-to-energy, offshore wind and district energy projects. Ramboll's Energy division has been active in North America for the past seven years, working as a strategic advisor and technical specialist. Stephen C. Schwarz has been appointed as Country Director of Ramboll USA Inc. He has been Vice President of the US environmental engineering consultancy Malcolm Pirnie and has a long track record of waste management projects. One of these is the world's largest ongoing waste-to-energy project, West Palm Beach, which Ramboll is presently working on. The establishment of an office in the USA is fully in line with the strategy for growth of Ramboll's Energy division. The division recently acquired 110 power specialists from DONG Energy and opened an office in Switzerland to gain a firmer foothold on the Central European market. The division has the ambition to further grow to 700 staff by 2012 through acquisitions combined with strong organic growth. write your comments about the article :: © 2011 Construction News :: home page |
