FLSmidth wins contract for minerals equipment

Danish engineering group FLSmidth has been awarded a contract worth approximately USD 33m from the well established Canadian based gold company Kinross Gold Corporation in Toronto, to supply gearless grinding mills for their gold plant in Mauritania.

The order from Kinross Gold Corporation comprises 1 SAG Mill and 2 ball mills to be installed as part of an expansion of Kinross Gold's plant in the North-Western Mauritania, some 300 km north of the capital Nouakchott. The project contains FLSmidth mills which are some of the world's largest installed and proven gearless grinding mills, and they will further strengthen FLSmidth's position as a world-class grinding mill supplier.

Africa is a continually growing minerals market. This project highlights FLSmidth's extensive experience in providing very large and innovative solutions to the minerals industries and marks FLSmidth as a supplier to the continent.
