| HDR observes Drinking Water Week set for May 1-7 For more than 30 years, the American Water Works Association and its members have celebrated Drinking Water Week, which will be observed this year from May 1-7. It is a time set aside each year to recognize the vital role water plays in our daily lives. Omaha-based HDR, an employee-owned architectural, engineering and consulting firm, publishes a quarterly bulletin - the Safe Drinking Water Act Newsletter - that updates clients on new and changing regulatory and health issues. Currently, HDR has prepared and is distributing more than 50,000 copies of the 13th edition of its Safe Drinking Water Act Wall chart that summarizes all of the regulations, water contaminants and health effects.
