| OHL receives the Prever Award Spanish construction group OHL has been awarded the Prever Award 2010 in the category of companies and institutions, in recognition of their history in the field of the prevention of occupational risks. The award was collected by Carmelo Ferrandez, HR manager of the OHL Group, from the Mayor of Granada, Jose Torres Hurtado, within the framework of the XII Technical Conference on the Prevention of Occupational Risks held in Granada on 1 and 2 April organized by the General Council of Industrial Relations and Labour Studies, (CGRICT). The General Council of Industrial Relations and Labour Studies, aware of the importance of occupational risk prevention in the world of industrial relations, in 1998 decided to create the awards and named them "Prever", coming from a word in the Spanish expression "better to prevent what hasn't happened than to argue about what has happened." These seminars are run in collaboration with the general management teams of Labour and Occupational Health and Safety of each of Spain's Autonomous Communities, the National Institute of Occupational Health and Safety at Work and the European Agency for Health and Safety, and have become a benchmark in the prevention of occupational risks in Spain and the European Union.
