| Zumtobel ranked third largest inventor in Austria Having reviewed the figures for 2010, the Austrian Patent Office has now published a ranking of Austria's most innovative companies. The Zumtobel Group, the Austria-based lighting company, came third in this ranking in terms of both patent and trademark registrations. In total, the Zumtobel Group was granted 22 patents and 26 trademarks in Austria in the course of 2010. Protecting intellectual property is becoming ever more important in the lighting industry and consequently also for the Zumtobel Group.
