Tetra Tech awarded USAID program

Tetra Tech, Inc. announced that it has been awarded the $14 million U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Forest Carbon, Markets, and Communities (FCMC) program. Under this new program, USAID will develop tools and help key developing nations implement forest-based greenhouse gas abatement opportunities that support local livelihoods and protect vulnerable populations. Tetra Tech will help USAID to develop its own internal capacity and host country capacity with new training and tools; build a finance and carbon market framework; support countries in their efforts to develop low emissions development strategies; and establish systems for carbon measurement, reporting, and verification.
