| L&T appoints new director  The board of directors of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) approved the elevation of Mr. S.N. Subrahmanyan as a Whole-time Director, with effect from July 1, 2011. Mr. Subrahmanyan is currently Sr. Vice President and Head – Buildings & Factories and Infrastructure Independent Companies. This induction is a part of L&T's succession plan.The construction businesses of L&T are currently being headed by Mr. K.V. Rangaswami, Whole-time Director & President (Construction), who will retire from the Board of the Company in June 2011. Mr. S.N. Subrahmanyan, 51, is a civil engineer with post graduate qualifications in business management.
