| EverNew LT Cellular PVC Decking line CertainTeed Corporation is bringing building professionals more decking options that offer the authentic look of exotic hardwood decking through the addition of two multi-chromatic blend colors — Jatoba and Spanish Cedar — to its EverNew LT Cellular PVC Decking line. The new colors round out a vibrant palette of color options that homeowners can use to create outstanding, low-maintenance outdoor living spaces. "Exotic hardwood decking is in high demand, but like all woods, it requires periodic resealing and re-staining to maintain its beauty and prevent rotting," says Patti Pellock, senior marketing manager for CertainTeed's Fence, Railing and Deck division. "With these two new EverNew LT colors, homeowners can now have the desirable look of exotic hardwoods, but without the costly, time-consuming maintenance." Consisting of a solid cellular PVC core, EverNew LT emulates the look and feel of wood, with all the advantages of a wood alternative. It never needs painting or staining, will not splinter, warp or rot, and is highly resistant to wood-boring insects. Adding to the product's appeal is its patent-pending, fusion-bonded Lumenite surface technology, which creates a shield of protection from mold, stains and fading. The Lumenite surface is also solar-reflective, making it cool to the touch, even on hot days. The product is backed by the industry's only 20-year Stain and Fade Resistance Warranty, as well as CertainTeed's lifetime, limited performance warranty. EverNew LT requires very little maintenance — occasional washing with a standard garden hose will remove dirt and spills. The product also carries a Class 1(A) fire rating, giving it superior fire resistance. Jatoba and Spanish Cedar join four existing bold, rich EverNew LT colors — Saddle, Sequoia, Dune and Greystone. write your comments about the article :: © 2011 Construction News :: home page |
