| Mactec educates engineers about sustainable building practices Mactec continues its commitment to Sustainability by providing community education. On March 3, 2011, Mactec, along with the Fort Benning Chapter of the Society of the American Military Engineers (SAME), sponsored a professional development seminar at the Fort Benning Army Base in Columbus, GA on how military installations can meet their sustainability missions. The seminar, titled "Implementing Sustainable Concepts in the Real World, " attracted over 33 attendees. Seminar speakers included Mactec Principal Rick Marotte, Scott Walters and Ron Huffman, Senior Engineer Chris Hurst, and Ft. Benning Resource Efficiency Manager Charles Marshal.
