| Capital Safety Group Acquires SRTE Capital Safety Group has formally signed an agreement to acquire the assets and operating business of Single Rope Technique Equipment (SRTE). SRTE is a supplier of rescue equipment for the majority of emergency services entities across Australia, as well as being a supplier to the mining, oil and gas and utilities industries both locally and overseas. SRTE started in the 1980s when owner Boris Rogelja began making his own caving and rock climbing equipment. After a reorganisation in 1990, the company expanded its business activities to include the supply of high-end rescue and access equipment, specifically designed for the industrial market. Today, the company operates out of Padstow, NSW, a site which will be retained through Capital Safety Group's acquisition. Through this acquisition, Capital Safety Group will supplement its rescue, rope access and arborist product range, enabling it to supply a more comprehensive range in Australia as well as providing a launching platform for the range in international markets. Capital Safety Group CEO Anders Pettersson explained, "The acquisition of SRTE has given us a significant foothold into the industrial rope access and rescue markets in Australia. We look forward to investing further in product development in this space and leveraging the great product range and solutions SRTE has to offer to our existing and new markets." Boris Rogelja, CEO and owner of SRTE, also adds, "Capital Safety's portfolio of innovative products combined with the SRTE product range will enable our products to reach new markets we would have difficulty reaching ourselves. We are proud to be part of the Capital Safety team." write your comments about the article :: © 2011 Construction News :: home page |
