| Stone+more Innovation Award The established awards presented for architecture and craft skills at Stone+tec Nürnberg for many years are joined by a new award in 2011: the Stone+more Innovation Award for high-quality, novel, innovative, consumer- and market-orientated products of natural stone, product combinations associated with natural stone, and processes and technologies for the manufacture and processing of natural stone. The award will be presented for the first time at the International Trade Fair Natural Stone and Stoneprocessing Technology in the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg from 22–25 June 2011. The award goes to innovative ideas and products associated with natural stone that are important for the future use of natural stone and particularly open up new, trend-setting applications for this building material.The award distinguishes products and production techniques with convincing design and technical aspects and focuses attention on natural stone as a building material that contributes to room design through individual treatment of details and finishes and is exemplary in terms of its environmental friendliness, sustainability and energy efficiency. The award is presented in the categories "Innovative Products of and with Natural Stone", "Innovative Marketing and Communication Strategies" and "Innovative Processes for the Manufacture and Processing of Natural Stone Products". There will also be a Public Award chosen by the exhibition visitors. Eligible to enter are natural stone contractors, stonemasonry and tiling contractors and their suppliers, and plant and machinery manufacturers from Europe that have developed an innovative product or a project-related solution associated with natural stone. Also eligible for indirect entry via these specialist firms are architects, designers and developers in a cooperation project who have developed products or project-related products or solutions that surpass the current "state of the art". The winners of the Stone+more Innovation Award receive material prizes and certificates. All nominated entries will be on display at the "Stone+more" special show at the Stone+tec Nürnberg 2011 exhibition.
