Oberthur Technologies' Brazilian plant Grand Opening

Oberthur Technologies, the world's second largest provider of security and identification solutions and services based on smart card technologies, announced the Grand Opening of its brand new 75,000 square foot manufacturing facility and service center in Cotia, Brazil. The new facility, already fully operational, provides a single source vendor solution for design, manufacturing, personalization and fulfillment of mobile SIM cards, payment cards (including EMV) and identification credentials to customers in Brazil and throughout Latin America. Existing manufacturing and personalization activities already based in Cotia have been regrouped into this new facility.

The new facility, which is able to produce over 100 million cards a year, also expands Oberthur Technologies' offering of secured identification credentials, including dual-hybrid polycarbonate smart cards that can be used for driver's licenses and I.D. badges for both government and non government entities.
