| Rockefeller Group to sell site in Florida General Services Administration, Southeast Sunbelt Region, Public Buildings Service and Rockefeller Group Development Corporation (RGDC) announced the sale of 20 acres of land along the I75 corridor in Miramar, Florida to the Federal government for construction of a 475,000 square foot office complex. The selling price for the land was $13.5 million. The 20 acres was part of a larger 40 acre parcel of land owned by RGDC. The company plans to market 10 acres of the land to another user while another 10 acres of the land is undevelopable wetlands. The Rockefeller Group expects interest in the remaining 10 acres of land to increase despite a sluggish Florida commercial property market. The sale of the land is one of several recent transactions between The Rockefeller Group and the General Services Administration (GSA). In February, the company leased 12,750 square feet of office space at Miramar Town Center to the United States Customs and Border Protection and in the Spring of 2010 completed construction of a Veteran's Clinic in Oceanside, California. write your comments about the article :: © 2011 Construction News :: home page |
