| Mott MacDonald chosen for four-country African water study Mott MacDonald, the UK engineering, management and development consultancy, has been appointed by the European Investment Bank (EIB) to carry out multi country preparation studies for investments in the African water sector. The studies will take place across Burundi, Ghana, Rwanda and Zambia. The investments will contribute to the countries' plan of action towards achieving Millennium Development Goals. Suitable preparation studies will be identified and conducted to develop a series of projects that could be supported by the EIB and other potential financiers. Mott MacDonald's role will take place over two phases. As part of phase 1 Mott MacDonald's team of experts will carry out a review of already identified projects and identify gaps in the preparation studies for these projects. Phase 2 will involve undertaking detailed studies to determine the technical, financial, social and environmental viability of the proposed projects.
