| Aecom awarded feasibility study for Grand Inga site on Congo River Aecom Technology Corp, a leading provider of professional technical and management support services for government and commercial clients around the world, announced that a joint venture in which RSW International Inc. - which became part of Aecom during November 2010 - participates, has been awarded a US$13.4-million contract related to the Grand Inga site in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Aecom, in partnership with Électricité de France (EDF), will conduct a feasibility study on the hydroelectricity development of the site and the associated interconnection transmission lines. The Grand Inga site, located on the Congo River, has a potential of approximately 39,000 megawatts of electricity. The length of the four associated transmission lines (Inga-Nigeria, Inga-Egypt, Inga-South Africa through Zambia and Inga-South Africa through Angola) would total more than 8,000 miles.
