| Tecnimont constructs Copenhagen “Cityringen” underground Italian company Maire Tecnimont S.p.A. announces that its main operating company Tecnimont S.p.A. has signed definitive agreements for the construction of the north bound and south bound rings of the new Copenhagen and Frederiksberg underground "Cityringen" following the award as preferred bidder communicated to the market last 24 November. The signing ceremony at the Copenhagen Royal Theater was attended by the Danish local Authorities, the representatives of the Italian Embassy, the top management of Metroselskabet I/S, the Company who manages the City of Copenhagen's Underground Network, and the other partners of the project. The estimated overall value of the contract, which is now effective, is approximately €1.7 billion, of which €700 million pertaining to Maire Tecnimont Group which today has been added to the consolidated backlog. The consortia, that will operate as General Contractor, is composed of Tecnimont S.p.A., SALINI Costruttori S.p.A. and SELI S.p.A..
