| Air Conditioning Forum to spotlight the increase in energy efficiency The ISH trade fair is the foremost innovation platform for the sector and, with sustainable sanitation solutions, the world's biggest showroom for innovative bathroom design and efficient heating and air-conditioning technology in combination with renewable energies, presents the world's biggest range of future-oriented building solutions. Over 2,300 companies, including all market and technology leaders from home and abroad, will present their latest products and services in Frankfurt am Main from 15 to 19 March 2011. And what they show are technologies and solutions that are ready for immediate use – not just visions or concepts. The focal-point theme of ISH 2011 is the sustainable use of water and energy. At ISH 2011, air-conditioning, cooling and ventilation technology will be located under the name Aircontec. There, leading manufacturers will launch their innovations onto the world market and offer a comprehensive overview of the current state-of-the-art. An important subject in the air-conditioning, cooling and ventilation sector is the great potential for saving energy in commercial buildings. As a vital part of the services and technical installations in such buildings, manufacturers of air-conditioning, cooling and ventilation technology have developed products over recent years that meet the demands of energy efficiency and climate protection to a great extent. Thus, by using modern EC motors, they have been able to reduce energy consumption significantly. Also very important in this connection is heat recovery. Moreover, the use of regenerative energy is vital if climate-protection objectives are to be achieved. Besides heat recovery, free cooling, heat displacement and waste-heat recovery, the focus is on solar energy for air-conditioning and geothermal energy for both ventilation and air-conditioning. The Air Conditioning Forum is part of Aircontec and will be held in the foyer of Hall 11.1. This programme of lectures is being organised jointly by the Building Climate Institute (Fachinstitut Gebäude Klima e.V. - FGK) and Messe Frankfurt. Günther Mertz, General Manager of FGK: "The Air Conditioning Forum 2011 will spotlight the increase in energy efficiency and the use of regenerative energy in air-conditioning and ventilation systems. On the basis of German and European specifications for increasing energy efficiency, as well as the environmental and climate protection objectives, the Forum will put forward solutions that document the contribution that air-conditioning and ventilation technology can make as an important aspect of building services and technical installations. Under the motto 'Architecture and air-conditioning technology', participants will learn about practical examples embracing both high-grade architectural solutions and efficient energy concepts. A number of the speakers at the Air Conditioning Forum will be representatives of various German ministries and provide information about the current status of preparations for the 2012 Energy Saving Directive and the promotional measures." The Air Conditioning Forum will be held throughout the fair, from 15 to 19 March. write your comments about the article :: © 2011 Construction News :: home page |
