| Contracts awarded to deliver Arup Atkins designed tunnels Crossrail Ltd has announced its intention to award the main contracts for the largest UK tunnelling works in over a decade. The winning joint ventures will deliver the Arup Atkins designed twin-bore tunnels that will run from Royal Oak to Pudding Mill Lane and Royal Victoria Dock. The two main tunnels contracts announced by Crossrail were: • C300 - Western Running Tunnels (Royal Oak to Farringdon): joint venture comprising BAM Nuttall Ltd, Ferrovial Agroman (UK) Ltd, Kier Construction Ltd. • C305 - Eastern Running Tunnels (Limmo Peninsula to Farringdon; Limmo Peninsula to Victoria Dock; Stepney Green to Pudding Mill Lane): joint venture comprising Dragados S.A., John Sisk & Son (Holdings) Ltd. write your comments about the article :: © 2010 Construction News :: home page |
