| KBR subsidiary awarded contract for development in Alexandria, VA KBR, an American engineering, construction and private military contracting company, announced that its Building Group has been awarded a $33 million contract by Washington, D.C.-based development partners Erkiletian and Jefferson Apartment Group for the construction of The Asher, a planned mixed-use development in Alexandria, Virginia. The Building Group's Vienna, Virginia regional office will lead the project. Construction is already underway with completion anticipated in June 2012. Designed with a number of green building features, the project is registered with the U.S. Green Building Council for LEED Silver certification.
