| Finland's Pöyry designed a finalist of ICSC awards ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centres) has nominated the finalists for the prestigious ICSC European Shopping Centre Awards 2011. The short nominees list includes the development and extension of the Rocca al Mare shopping centre. Rocca al Mare is located in Tallinn, Estonia, and it belongs to Citycon, a Finnish-based shopping centre owner. The project competes in the series "Large Refurbishments and Expansions". Together with Citycon, Pöyry in collaboration with NordProjekt architects (Estonia), created a new commercial concept which found its expression in an innovative, customer friendly, architectural and interior design. Moreover, Pöyry's real estate consultant took care of the LEED certification. Rocca al Mare is the first shopping centre in the Baltic Region to be awarded a LEED certificate for environmental sustainability. The silver level award was granted in February 2010.
