The NLC annual event is designed to educate elected officials and other city leaders while providing tangible solutions to the myriad challenges they face. The program features nationally known speakers such as former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush along with numerous workshop sessions including a series of mobile workshops that offer a glimpse of some of the Denver area's best practices. With its global headquarters located just south of the city, CH2M Hill will have a significant presence at the conference, continuing more than 20 years' involvement with the oldest and largest national organization representing municipal governments. The company is featuring the wide range of solutions it offers to local governments with particular emphasis on sustainable city initiatives in areas such as water, transportation, and operations and maintenance. Named a leader in sustainable engineering by the independent analyst firm Verdantix, CH2M Hill highlights this important corporate value with a booth display that incorporates numerous green features including use of recycled (and recyclable) materials, LED lighting and low VOC inks. CH2M Hill is also a sponsor of NLC TV, the organization's Internet-based TV channel, which will broadcast highlights and presentations throughout the conference. write your comments about the article :: © 2010 Construction News :: home page |
