Hill International to provide ARRA oversight services

Hill International, the global leader in managing construction risk, announced that it has received a task order contract from the U.S. Federal Transit Administration (FTA) to provide project management oversight services in connection with transit projects nationally that receive funding pursuant to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The four-year contract has an estimated value to Hill of approximately $3.8 million.

On February 17, 2009, President Barack Obama signed into law the ARRA, which provides $787 billion to assist the nation's economic recovery. The goals of ARRA include the preservation or creation of jobs, the promotion of an economic recovery, and investment in transportation, environmental protection and other infrastructure providing long-term economic benefits. ARRA provides approximately $9 billion for public transit. The FTA is expected to utilize Hill's oversight services on station upgrades, new maintenance facilities construction, new rail car and bus procurements, signaling system upgrades or other similar projects.
