| New line of heavy-duty 18V high-torque impact wrenches Professional users have asked for a lightweight tool that performs heavy-duty applications, and Bosch has answered. Bosch Power Tools and Accessories announced a new line of heavy-duty 18V high-torque impact wrenches designed to give users the power and durability they require, yet are the most lightweight in the category. At just 6.7 lb. with 10" head length, the IWTH180-01, HTH181-01 and HTH182-01 offer 500 ft. lb. of max torque - the highest available in 18V - for heavy-duty fastening applications where power and speed are most important. All three models feature a true flat-anvil design to provide easy installation and removal of sockets over the life of the tool. Additional highlights include: o IWTH180-01 with 1/2" Friction Ring for quick and easy socket changes. o HTH181-01 with 1/2" Detent-Pin for positive accessory retention. o HTH182-01 with 7/16" Quick Change for tool-less accessory removal. The versatile chuck works with common 7/16" hex shank accessories. When working in tough environments, these tools are up to the challenge thanks to an impact hammer and anvil system, and a magnesium front end that protects the tool from jobsite abuse. For increased comfort, a spring-load hammer and anvil allow for high amounts of torque with little torque reaction, and soft-grip-wrapped housing further prevents user fatigue and slippage. An all-metal gear train drives each motor at 1, 900 RPM with 2, 100 IMP for a full range of fastening applications, including anchoring pipes into concrete, setting large diameter Tapcons, fastening I beams and supports, driving lag screws, mounting power lines and guide wires, performing framework assembly and repair, and installing or removing wheels, exhaust, brakes, engine mounts and more. New for the high-torque impact wrench category, the wrenches also feature an LED flashlight function that activates when the trigger is slightly depressed. This improved visibility makes these the go-to tools for roadside or utility companies often working in dark areas. To protect the tools from overheating, an optimized motor provides 50 percent more air flow, and Electronic Cell Protection (ECP) ensures operation at safe temperatures. Additionally, heat conduction housing helps prevent heat buildup during use and while charging. ECP also prevents deep discharge by keeping the battery voltage at a safe level, while protecting the tools from overload damage from a high current discharge. Additionally, the IWTH180-01, HTH181-01 and HTH182-01 are equipped with the Flexible Power System, making them compatible with both SlimPacks and FatPacks. Each tool comes with two 18V Lithium-Ion FatPacks, a 30-minute charger and a hard carrying case with socket storage. write your comments about the article :: © 2010 Construction News :: home page |
