| Foster Wheeler to supply solar steam generator system in UAE Foster Wheeler AG announced that a subsidiary of its Global Power Group has been awarded a contract to design and supply a solar steam generator system (preheaters, drum-type evaporators, and superheaters) including interconnecting piping, valves, primary I&C, steel structures, and site advisory services for a plant located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The equipment will be integrated into a solar thermal power plant using concentrated parabolic trough technology and will have an installed power output capacity of 100 MWe (gross megawatt electric). Foster Wheeler has received a full notice to proceed on this contract. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed, and the contract value was included in the company's third-quarter 2010 bookings.
