Hitachi announces support for Microsoft's private cloud solution

Hitachi, Ltd., headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, and Hitachi Data Systems Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd., announced participation in Microsoft's new private cloud reference architecture program, Hyper-V Cloud Fast Track. At Microsoft Tech・Ed Europe 2010 conference this week, Hitachi Data Systems is showcasing integrated solutions for Microsoft, including solutions built on Microsoft Hyper-V Cloud Fast Track that guide and clarify the creation of private cloud building blocks to simplify deployment and optimize customers' private cloud infrastructures with reduced risk.

Hitachi, Ltd., Hitachi Data Systems and Microsoft have a long-standing relationship that has delivered mission-critical solutions to customers around the world. Solutions include the Hitachi Unified Compute Platform, the industry's first open and unified compute platform for enterprise data centers, and Hitachi Storage Cluster for Hyper-V, an end-to-end server-to-storage virtualization solution. Hitachi solutions built on Hyper-V Cloud Fast Track will combine Hitachi compute and storage with network infrastructure and Windows Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V and System Center software.

As a Microsoft Worldwide Gold Certified Partner, Hitachi Data Systems jointly demonstrates some of the world's most demanding workloads in secure, scalable and virtualized environments. Microsoft Tech・Ed Europe 2010 attendees can see integrated solutions for Microsoft applications and virtualized environments in action at Hitachi Data Systems Booth at the Messe Berlin Conference Center, November 8 - 12.
