Hochtief Construction will build the Cheves hydroelectric power station in Peru for roughly EUR 110 million together with a partner. Hochtief's share runs up to almost EUR 70 million. The facility is to cover the peak electricity requirement in the Lima region from the end of 2013.

In addition, Hochtief subsidiary Leighton has recently been awarded infrastructure contracts in South Australia: Thiess together with a joint venture shall expand a rail link for nearly EUR 210 million (AUD 291 million). The share of the Leighton company is not known.
