| John Holland to construct $812 million South Road Superway Australia's John Holland, as part of the Urban Superway Joint Venture, has been awarded the North – South Transport Corridor contract to construct South Australia's $812 million South Road Superway. John Holland expects revenue of approximately $230 million from its share in the project. The project is South Australia's largest ever investment in a road project as well as the state's most complex road construction and engineering project. The joint venture will deliver a new 4.8 kilometre highway corridor, including 2.8 kilometres of elevated roadway, connecting the Port River Expressway to Regency Road north of Adelaide. Delivered on behalf of South Australia's Department for Transport, Energy and Infrastructure, the project will reduce traffic congestion and travel time at major road and rail intersections along the corridor and deliver local road improvements throughout Wingfield, Regency Park and Angle Park. write your comments about the article :: © 2010 Construction News :: home page |
