Aecom awarded USAID contract for Colombia Public Policy Program

Aecom Technology Corp, a leading provider of professional technical and management support services for government and commercial clients around the world, announced that the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) awarded it a contract to implement the Colombia Public Policy Program that is worth up to US$22.5 million.

The USAID program provides support to USAID and Colombia in the development of a wide variety of policy positions, in coordination with the Government of Colombia (GOC). Policy issues will include, but will not be limited to, land reform, access to financial services, labor and vulnerable populations. It will be a pillar of U.S. support of Colombia's National Consolidation Plan to solidify security gains and eliminate illicit activities.

Aecom will assist USAID with the design and implementation of 109 pilot programs to build support for large-scale reform, expedite policy implementation and gather information on the policy-reform priorities of Colombia Strategic Development Initiative regions. Aecom will coordinate closely with the GOC and USAID to develop work plans and terms of reference, select technical experts, monitor results, and make adjustments to meet changing conditions
