| Strabag gets new order in Poland Strabag Sp. z o.o. (Poland), Strabag AG (Austria) and Hermann Kirchner Polska Sp. z o.o. (Poland), three subsidiaries of Strabag SE, Central and Eastern Europe's largest construction company, on 14 October 2010 signed an agreement to build a new bridge complex in Toruń, Poland. The works comprise the building of two lanes in each direction, access roads, and a pedestrian walkway and bicycle lane as well as the renovation and relocation of several surrounding streets and the construction of several viaducts over streets and railway tracks, the longest two measuring 830 m and 600 m in length. Because of the increasing transport volume in Toruń, the 540 m bridge represents a strategic link over the river Vistula. The consortium, consisting of the three Strabag subsidiaries, will begin construction in Autumn 2010 and expects to finish in 32 months. The value of the contract amounts to about € 139 million. It is Strabag group's next bridge construction project after ambitious A8 Wrocław bypass in southern Poland, which is carried out jointly by Strabag and Dywidag and which is due to be finished in Autumn of 2011.
