| Freyssinet wins contract to build a new bridge in Vladivostok Freyssinet, a subsidiary of Vinci Construction, has won the contract to design, manufacture and install the stay cables of the Russky Island Bridge, by Vladivostok, in Russia. The new bridge (total length: 1,872 metres) will feature the longest cable-stayed span in the world: 1,104 metres. Following the construction, in 1994, of the Normandy Bridge, with a span of 856 metres, Freyssinet will thus once again be setting a new record. The installation works will be undertaken on-site between May and November 2011, on behalf of the companies USK Most and Mostovik. write your comments about the article :: © 2010 Construction News :: home page |
