| ABB technologies to power waste incineration plant in Switzerland The Swiss-based ABB will supply equipment for a new waste incineration facility being constructed by Energie Wasser Bern.The planned facility will be the first of its kind in Europe, integrating a clean biomass-fired power station and combined cycle gas turbine plant. It will replace an existing waste incinerator, which is around thirty-five years old and has reached the end of its technical service life. ABB will supply integrated electrical and process control systems for the entire plant and will also be responsible for the high-voltage power grid connection to the capital city of Bern.
