| Rijkswaterstaat, BAM reach financial close on motorway project The Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management (Rijkswaterstaat) and BAM signed the contract for the A12 Motorway on 2 July 2010 to design, build, finance and maintain (DBFM) the widening of the thirty kilometre long section of the A12 motorway between Utrecht-Lunetten and Veenendaal and have reached Financial Close on 23 September 2010. The €260 million project is being executed by Royal BAM Group companies, BAM PPP, BAM Wegen, BAM Civiel, BAM Infratechniek and BAM Infraconsult. Construction works are due to begin early 2011 and will be completed year-end 2012, this relatively short construction period will significantly reduce the impact on road users.
