| BAU IT at BAU  BAU IT is a dedicated exhibition area within BAU 2011, the World´s Leading Trade Fair for Architecture, Materials, Systems. Now covering approximately 6,000 m2 of exhibition space the BAU IT display is Europe´s largest display of software and hardware solutions for construction. New since 2009: BAU IT is moving into the northern part of the hall, with direct access to the North Entrance.Around 80 exhibitors will be presenting their hardware and software solutions for the building sector in this display. One new advantage for visitors is that for the first time BAU IT can be accessed directly from the North Entrance of the exhibition centre; it is also easily reached via the moving walkways from the multistorey car park on the west side. Today, the job of constructing, renovating, modernising and operating buildings would be unthinkable without the right software tools. Software helps structure the work, avoid errors and adhere to schedules and budgets. Visitors to BAU IT can look forward to reviewing a broad range of IT tools for use in draft planning, building information modelling, submitting bids, processing tenders, invoicing, project planning, project management and controlling. In 2011 BAU will once again have lots of new products and innovations to show to visitors. 'Built on IT – Building jobs with a future' is one of the awards to be presented as part of BAU IT at BAU 2011. This award is presented to IT-supported processes and solutions that optimise the job of building, for example, creative websites, web blogs and training platforms, through to animations, simulations and calculation tools.
