| Amec selected for Ulysses salt cavern gas storage study project Amec, the international engineering and project management company, has been selected by Providence Resources P.l.c., to undertake the conceptual study for their Ulysses salt cavern gas storage project offshore eastern Ireland. The study, awarded through Providence's wholly owned subsidiary EIRGAS Limited ('EIRGAS'), includes planning, capacity modelling, infrastructure integration and gas sourcing for the Kish Bank Basin, offshore Dublin, and is expected to be complete by early 2011. The Ulysses project builds on Amec's experience on the Gateway gas storage project in the UK sector of the Irish Sea, for which Amec is currently the lead engineering contractor and where it is also planned to store gas in undersea salt caverns. write your comments about the article :: © 2010 Construction News :: home page |
