Pöyry awarded EUR 2.6 million contract in China

Finland-based Pöyry has been awarded a contract for construction supervision of the Changsha-Kunming high-speed railway line Lot 2 in China by Hukun (Shanghai-Kunming) Railway Passenger Dedicated Line Hunan Company Ltd. The value of Pöyry's contract is EUR 2.6 million.

The scope of services covers the supervision of the whole construction process focusing on quality control and safety management. The services will be performed in cooperation with the local railway construction supervision company Changsha Zhongda Construction Supervision Co. Ltd.

Changsha-Kunming Railway PDL connects Changsha in central southern China with Kunming close to China's southwest border. This project is part of the major high-speed railway connection Shanghai-Kunming Railway Passenger Dedicated Line. Lot 2 has a length of 73 km. The works of Lot 2 include one station, 55 bridges (36 km) and 21 tunnels (19 km).

The design speed of this double-track, electrified passenger dedicated railway line is 250 km/h, and the scheduled construction period is 48 months.
