| Jacobs provides services for METRO's Central Mesa project Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. announced that it was awarded an engineering services contract by Valley Metro Rail, Inc. (METRO) for the Central Mesa Light Rail Extension project. Jacobs will provide both preliminary and final engineering services for the Mesa, Ariz. light rail project. The contract amount is $12.5 million. The Central Mesa project is a 3.1-mile extension on Main Street from the current light rail end-of-line at Sycamore, through downtown Mesa to Mesa Drive. Collectively, Jacobs' services should take approximately two years to complete and will be followed shortly thereafter by construction.
