Cascade Drilling's first Geoprobe 8040DT

Cascade Drilling, LP, announced the acquisition of their first Geoprobe 8040DT. The 8040DT is the latest and most powerful direct push rig offered by Geoprobe on a mid-sized, all-terrain platform. "The 8040DT is an excellent complement to our existing full line of Geoprobe, Hollow Stem Auger, Sonic, Air Rotary, and Vacuum Utility Clearance rigs", says Darryl Metzger, Operations Manager, "extending the value and flexibility of our environmental and geotechnical drilling service capabilities."

"Our clients will experience a real win with the unmatched power and versatility that the 8040DT boasts." says Ryan Galbreth, Division Manager, "In addition to the direct push capabilities that Geoprobe is known for, the 8040DT is capable of air/mud rotary, hollow stem auger, and limited rock coring. This will reduce the need for multiple rigs with crews on site, thereby reducing job cost and site impact." Galbreth continues, "The 8040DT has the power needed for complex projects, able to run 4.5 in. dual tube systems and drive up to 6 in. casing, while allowing the operator to easily change the tooling as needed for the job."

With the addition of the new Geoprobe 8040DT to their fleet, Cascade Drilling has extended their ability to complete any drilling or direct push job, from testing and monitoring well installation or decommission to soil and water sampling and in-situ remediation, in a safe, cost effective, and environmentally conscious way.
