| Heijmans announces half year results Dutch builder Heijmans NV (AMS:HEIJM) announced financial results for the first half of 2010. Key points * Improvement, primarily in The Netherlands, in operating profit to € 14 million (H1 2009: € 5 million underlying); * Revenue declines autonomously by 15%, due to both a selective contracting policy and difficult market conditions; * Total number of homes sold in the Netherlands was 683 (H1 2009: 450), but so far no sustained recovery expected in the housing market; * Order book increased by 8% compared to the end of December 2009, despite a challenging market; * Net debt at end of June 2010 was € 201 million less than mid-2009 (€ 277 million versus € 478 million); * Some disposals of foreign assets.
