| Kyocera to install solar power systems at all 10 Japan plants Kyocera Corp. said that it will roll out solar power systems at all 10 domestic plants as part of its push to adopt clean energy. The manufacturer of semiconductor-related parts and electronic devices has already equipped four sites by installing proprietary solar power systems on rooftops. It will do the same at the six remaining locations by next March. The 10 plants will have a combined generating capacity of 1,035kw and are expected to annually produce 1.01 million kilowatt hours, or enough electricity to power around 214 households. Kyocera expects to reduce its annual carbon dioxide emissions by 395 tons in the process. The company is also installing solar power systems at domestic and overseas offices, including its headquarters building. write your comments about the article :: © 2010 Construction News :: home page |
